Barnstormers is seeking short plays (10-20 minutes) from writers based in or connected to West Somerset, Somerset or Exmoor. Selected scripts will be performed as informal readings in 2025, with the potential for a new writing tour in 2026.
Who Can Apply?
- Writers of any age.
- Scripts must be original, unpublished, and unperformed professionally.
- Plays should be suitable for village hall performances (small casts, minimal set/tech).
How to Submit:
Submit following via our Google Form by midnight on the 30th April 2025
- Your script (PDF only).
- A short synopsis (max. 200 words).
Additional Info:
- No fees or payment – this is a voluntary opportunity for a not-for-profit society – we do it for the sheer fun!
- Writers retain copyright of their work.
- Casting and direction will be managed by Barnstormers, but collaboration is welcome.
